Mary E. Dorn, MBA, is an assistant teaching professor and academic advisor for the Department of Personal Financial Planning at the University of Missouri. She serves as faculty advisor to Mizzou Financial Planning Association and currently teaches the introductory personal and family finance, financial planning careers, and internship courses. She has previously taught both the risk management and personal income tax courses. She is completing her doctoral work in Personal Financial Planning. Her research interest is in financial planning for the LGBTQ+ community. She has over 30 years of industry experience in financial services that include banking, insurance, investments, tax and retirement planning. She has been the Managing Partner for CDS Group Financial Services, LLC, in St. Louis since 1997.
