The Department of Personal Financial Planning, in the College of Human Environmental Sciences, is nationally and internationally recognized for its premier education, research, and outreach programs. The department offers undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs that are registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. These programs meet the education requirement needed to sit for the national CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam. The award-winning faculty provide an ideal environment for student success. Students have excellent opportunities to engage in professional development, intern at leading financial planning firms, participate in peer financial coaching in the Office for Financial Success, and conduct research that addresses critical financial needs and informs theory and policy development.
