Personal Financial Planning Degree Program

Our flagship undergraduate degree program is registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. allowing graduates to sit for the comprehensive Certified Financial PlannerTM examination to earn the right to use the CFP® designation. Coursework includes principles of personal financial planning, investments, insurance, taxation, retirement planning, and estate planning, complemented by courses that develop an understanding of the economic and social contexts within which clients make financial decisions. Graduates excel in providing client–centered financial management advice. CFP® registered degree programs also exist as a minor in PFP for students that are majoring in Agricultural Economics or Finance.

In addition, students may take the exam that leads toe earning the Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) designation before they graduate, which is offered through the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE).
