Personal Financial Management Services Undergraduate Program

Personal Financial Management Services is a popular degree option that prepares students to work with individuals and families in a wide range of financial service occupations, from insurance, investments, or banking to financial counseling, education, or a social change occupation. This degree program gives graduates a broad understanding of household financial management. Many students choose to complement this degree with a minor in business, finance, marketing, accounting, economics, social work, or other related program.

Students in any of our degree programs may prepare to sit for the Certified Retirement Counselor® (CRC®) or Certified Retirement Administrator® (CRA®) designation offered through the International Foundation for Retirement Education (InFRE). In addition, students may take the exam that leads to earning the Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) designation before they graduate, which is offered through the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education (AFCPE®).

Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™, and CFP (with flame logo) ®, which it awards to individuals who successfully complete initial and ongoing certification requirements.
